Some Essential Oil Alternative To The OTC Medicines

Since before, natural essential oils are already been used not only for healing but also for the treatment of most mental ailments and physical ailments. These are non toxic and natural substances that can easily be eliminated from a persons body. While the prescriptions or over the counter medicines are those synthetic substances in which the body cannot be able to eliminate and metabolize.

For the reason that body organs cannot break down the said compounds, it can be possible that these will end up in waste areas including fatty tissues and the brain. This will happen due to the passing of the synthetic toxins in the kidney, spleen, and liver. The most possible critical problem when this will happen is body normal functioning disruption because of toxins which are attached already to the tissues. In the following paragraphs, the different types of essential oil alternative will be given as alternatives for the OTC drugs.

First is for colds, coughs, congestion, allergies, and sinusitis treatment. The essential oils like the eucalyptus and the peppermint have decongestant, antiviral, and expectorant qualities. For relieving a sinus congestion, inhaling the angelica, thyme, camphor, bay, myrrh, and spruce is very useful. An essential oil like laurel leaf helps boost respiratory system and build up immune system, and thus, strengthens the resistance of body to viruses.

Second is for acne. The jojoba oil or also called as the carrier oil is known for balancing the oily skin and clearing acne. This can either be used alone or with the mixture of some other oils. Tea tree is an antiseptic which kills the bacteria that cause acne. It can also be used for the elimination of blackheads.

Third is athletes foot. Lavender has the properties of healing and of being antiseptic. The tea tree, aside from treating acne, it can also heal athletes foot because it is anti fungal. Birch or geranium essential oils have both soothing and anti inflammatory properties. Lemongrass is for drying and deodorizing.

Fourth is backaches and some other muscle pains. The qualities of helichrysum of being analgesic and anti inflammatory help in decreasing muscle pains through lowering inflammation, improving circulation, and lowering swelling. Rosemary contains high camphor contents that gives great warming for the aching muscles. Properties also include stimulating and soothing which will relax the muscles and will encourage blood flow circulation.

Fifth is cuts and burns. Tea tree and lavender have healing, antiseptic, and soothing properties which are being applied undiluted into the burned skin or to abrasions. Geranium, rose, chamomile, and marigold have the properties for healing and soothing that are ideal in treating cuts and burns.

Sixth is treatment of psoriasis, rashes, dry skin and itchy skin, and eczema. Treating the inflamed skins is used by soothing and anti inflammatory qualities of chamomile, violet, and bergamot. Lavender, myrrh, and geranium properties are for healing the damaged skins. A sandalwood and a marigold treat itchy skin and dry skin.

Seventh is the treatment for headache. Lavender, violet, ambrette, rose, chamomile, and helichrysum oils have the qualities of analgesic and relaxation. Relieving the feeling of tension is healed by frankincense, thyme, and clary sage. Eighth is nausea, indigestion, morning sickness, and upset stomach. An essential oil that would aid digestion is peppermint.
