Sleep deprivation is a condition in which a person is being deprived or do not have enough sleep. This can either be chronic deprivation or acute deprivation. Chronic deprivation often causes daytime sleepiness, weight gain or weight loss, fatigue, and clumsiness. It can also affect the brain and the cognitive functions. However, there are also some cases in which it can help increase the alertness and energy and enhances the mood as well.

Insomnia is said to have reached epidemic proportions of different countries, and in here, people are becoming more busy. And thus, they are now prone to conditions of stress due to not having the enough time for rest. Having not enough sleep will usually result to some negative effects to the health of a particular person. Essential oils for sleep may need to be practiced for used since these are very helpful.

Some of the ways that are considered effective are used for sachets, lavender infused pillow, candles, sleeping masks, massage oils, pillow spray, and bath salts.

Second is roman chamomile. This oil is consist of very light amount of floral aroma and it is also consists of relaxation properties. One way of reaping its benefits would include using it as a diffuser or it may be applied to the feet. When applying, use only a few drops which is diluted in the carrier oil. A few drops may also be added to your conditioner, skin moisturizer, or shampoo.

A cedarwood contains not only the powerful anti inflammatory, antiseptic, and expectorant qualities but also the relaxing, comforting, and calming qualities. Its warms scent and its aromatic woodsy properties help in making a person feel like snuggling his or her own favorite book and hot tea or coffee. A cedarwood diffuser can help the stimulation of pineal glands for releasing melatonin, important for the sleeping regulation. Few drops will be applied into forehead, neck, and wrists.

Fourth is the orange. An orange oil can help in the reduction of anxiety. All the citrus oils have the uplifting properties that help depression. One disadvantage here is causing a photo sensitivity when being exposed to a light for 12 hours when used. So it would be better to use this at night. Few drops are applied to the abdomen. Skin cream used for soothing may be mixed with an orange oil and coconut oil.

And fifth is valerian. This is also one of the very commonly used for sleeping. This can help in falling asleep faster and also letting you stay asleep. This includes grounding and calming properties. Apply this to the feet and to the wrists.

Using these naturally made essential oils alone or combining it with the other types can be one effective way for promoting sleep. Another thing is to realize that these may not work on you. It may sometimes work to other people but not effective to you.

Checking the oils always by qualified practitioners is important before using. To test them also important to ensure you have no allergies. Lastly, high quality must be bought for acquiring best results.
